Queer benefit for Greece Solidarity Campaign

Medical Aid to Greece at: 63 Sancroft Street SE11

The London Queer Social Centre is holding a benefit for Greece Solidarity Campaign Medical Aid – this has been organised with an officer of the GSC and Queers Against the Cuts, also a member of UNITE London & Eastern Region LGBT Committee.

The SERTUC LGBT Network held its AGM this week – the Network officers for 2013/2014 are:-

  • Dorothy Amos (NUT South East Region) – Co-Chair

  • Gerard McGrath (UNISON Greater London Region) – Co-Chair

  • David Sharkey (UNITE London & Eastern Region) – Secretary

  • Anton Johnson (UNITE London & Eastern Region / GLATUC) – SERTUC EC LGBT seat

The AGM also elected a Steering Group, which I am pleased to say has another Trades Council delegate on – from Oxfordshire County Association.
The SERTUC LGBT Network agreed to look at joint work with the London Queer Social Centre and organise an event for Trans Memorial Day.

The meetings of the Network are open to all who identify as LGBTQ and are a member of a Trade Union in London, East of England and South East.

The Network meetings for coming year are:-

  • 29 July 2013
  • 21 October 2013
  • 13 January 2014
  • 12 May 2014 – AGM
All starting at 6 pm and will be held at TUC Congress House, Great Russell St, London WC1 Trades Council Secretaries may like to circulate and advise affiliates
